Eco-design and re-manufacturing of sensors: Good for the planet and for the purse!

57 million tons of electronic waste in 2021! To fight against this terrible drift, a new way of thinking / developing / using / recycling our products is developing: eco-design.

ISO 14006:2020 standard defines and develops the concept of the “life cycle” of a product, which involves considering environmental aspects at all stages: raw material sourcing, design, development, manufacturing, delivery, installation, use (including reuse, maintenance, repair, reconditioning, refurbishment and modernization), end-of-life treatment and disposal. Additionally, there is another substantial advantage for companies: production costs reduction.

• Wired thermocouples: verification and replacement of wear parts (connector, cable…), recovery of the hot spot, various tests to ensure the proper functioning of the sensors once reconditioned and possible calibration.
• PT100 with industrial head: change of the inner 4-20mA transmitter, functional tests once reconditioned and possible calibration.
