Accurately measure the heating of moving mechanical systems
Mechanical systems in motion are subjected to heating. The thermal analysis of these moving systems is essential to understand and prevent overheating, which could lead to deformation and decrease in system performance, or worse, engage the integrity of the system and the safety of people.
In the case of the braking system of wind turbines, for example, or the automotive/rail/aeronautical brake discs, it is imperative to monitor thermal phenomena accurately and in real time.
To measure surface temperature on moving parts, MESUREX has developed a friction temperature sensor, available in two models depending on the application (SE49K and LE49K). This robust sensor, where the thermocouple is welded to the surface of the contact area, is designed to withstand the harshest conditions over a very wide measuring range (from -40° to 900°C). In addition, it is extremely easy to use and offers an immediate response time, all at a competitive price.
The “basic” design of this sensor minimizes the time spent on setting up the device, thus optimizing their productivity and reducing the costs associated with installation. The adjustment screw makes it very easy to adjust the force of the sensor’s friction with the surface to be measured. Finally, its compact size makes it easy to integrate into many configurations.
The fast response time is another major advantage of the SE49K/LE49K friction temperature sensor. It provides accurate and instantaneous temperature measurements, which is essential for applications that require real-time temperature data to maintain optimal performance.
With class 1 accuracy – according to NFC 42321 and IEC 584-3 standards – it ensures reliable and durable measurement, helping to improve operational efficiency and production quality.
Accessible at an affordable cost, the friction temperature sensor offers a cost-effective solution without compromising measurement performance. It is a profitable investment for industrial companies looking to optimize their operations without breaking their budget.
